Top-five move on at San Francisco City Women's

Bibilani Liu was among the top-five seeds at the San Francisco City Women's Championship to advance to next weekend's matches

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Medalist and No. 1 seed Bibilani Liu, a sophomore at St. Francis High School in Mountain View, was one of five top seeds to advance past the first round on Sunday at the San Francisco City Women's Championship. Liu handed Catherine Batang a 7-and-5 defeat and will face 17-seed Emily Rotter next Saturday at Presidio Golf Course. Two-seed Belinda Hu, of Dougherty Valley High School, defeated Valerie McCarthy 6-and-4 on Sunday. Her second-round matchup will come against Vanessa Richani. Other top-five seeds to advance include Sabrina Iqbal, Amanjoty Sangha, and Anna Zhou. An updated match play bracket can be found at the link below.
