Tom Swegiert beats defending champion at Tucson City Senior

Tom Swegiert's first-round 65 gives him a nice cushion to win the Tucson City Senior Amateur over 2013 champion Pat Geare

TUCSON, Ariz. (Nov. 23, 2014) — Tom Swegiert won the Tucson City Senior Amateur by two shots over defending champion Pat Geare. In the first round, Swegiert posted 65 at Dell Urich Golf Course where he led by one over John Enright. Then, a second-round 72 at Silverbell Golf Course secured the win. Geare, who also shot 72 on Sunday, had 67 in the first round at Dell Urich. Enright finished in third place at 140. Rich Morrison placed fourth along with Tom Beach.
