Todd, Branyon take Chanticleer National Four-Ball title

Thomas Todd and Josh Branyon, two South Carolina residents, finished three shots clear of the field.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Nov. 11, 2018) – Thomas Todd and Josh Branyon won the Chanticleer National Four-Ball with back-to-back rounds of 6-under 66 at Greenville Country Club. It was an in-state win for a couple of South Carolina standouts.

The pair took the lead with its opening 66 and cruised to a three-shot victory by maintaining the pace. Branyon is a year removed from winning the South Carolina Mid-Amateur. Todd made match play at the U.S. Mid-Amateur in September. It was his third consecutive U.S. Mid-Am start.

Jimmy Eggers and Skip Corneliussen matched the leaders’ final-round 66, but had already lost ground with an opening 69. They tied for second at 9 under with Matt Hayes and Garland Ferrell.

Two teams were in fourth another shot back at 8 under: Kyle Bearden and Jordan Sease had rounds of 68 and Dustin Moore and Timothy Driver went 69-67. Bearden is the reigning South Carolina Mid-Am champ.
