Grant DeLorenzo capped a steady week with a composed final-round 67 to win the Boys Championship at The Elite Invitational on the par-70, 6748-yard Ocean Course at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club.
He posted 73-68-67 for a two-under 208 total and a two-shot margin, pulling clear of Casen Justice, who closed with back-to-back 69s to finish at level-par 210.
Ranked 259th in the AJGA standings, the Houston, Texas, golfer has now started eight AJGA events this season, adding this victory to a previous best of fourth at the Pete & Alice Dye Junior Invitational in June and further strengthening his résumé ahead of a planned move to Texas Christian University, where he has given a verbal commitment.
A tight group of four – Liam Maclauchlan, Jager Pain, Luke Gossett and Luc Kelty – shared third at one-over 211 on a layout that rewarded both length and control into firm, fast greens.
In the Girls Championship, Asterisk Talley delivered another dominant performance in a standout season, shooting 71-67-67 to win at five-under 205 on the par-70, 5816-yard configuration.
The Chowchilla, California, standout won by seven shots and tied the tournament scoring mark set by Bridget Wilkie in 2023, when Wilkie went 70-66-69 for the same 205 total.
Talley’s year now includes 17 ranked starts and four victories – the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational, Fortinet Girls Invitational at Stanford, Girls Junior PGA Championship and The Elite Invitational – plus a runner-up finish at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, confirming her as one of the most dominant juniors in the girls’ game.
Behind her, Reese Wallace (74-72-66) and Macie Rasmussen (71-71-70) shared second at two-over 212, with Sophia Dyer fourth at 213 and Bella Dovhey fifth at 214 after a week where the coastal breeze made club selection and distance control critical.
