Tallent Cruises to Victory at Yeamans Hall Senior

Pat Tallent of Vienna, VA continued his steady play carding a final round 71 to finish at 2 over par (70-71-71--212) and win the 9th Yeamans Hall Senior Amateur. by six shots over Vinny Giles from Richmond and Frank Ford, III from Charleston. No one seriously challenged Tallent over the 54 holes. The Super Senior division was won for the second year in a row by Walt Martin of Oakton, VA (75-69-72--216). Martin had a tougher time with his victory as he had to go to a playoff with John Verity of Beaufort, SC (72-74-70--216). Verity shot a solid round of even par in the final round to tie Martin; he lost on the first hole of sudden death.
