TEMPE, Ariz. (Dec. 30, 2010) -- Alex Stewart of Peoria, Arizona captured her first Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship. The eighteen year old Stewart, a freshman at Purdue University, shot a five over par 221 for the 54 holes at the ASU Karsten Golf Club. Stewart, a member of the victorious 2009 Junior Solheim Cup Team, was three strokes ahead of second place finisher, sixteen year old Mariana Sims of Austin Texas who shot 224. Monica Vaughn of Reedsport, Oregon was third with a nine over par 225.
