Simson wins Sr. Hall-of-Fame again

Paul Simson of Raleigh, N.C. shot a final-round 69 to win his second consecutive National Senior Amateur Hall-of-Fame by five shots

HIGH POINT, N.C. (June 21, 2013) — For the second consecutive year, Paul Simson is the champion of the National Senior Amateur Hall-of-Fame. After sharing the lead with Rick Cloninger heading into the final round, Simson fired a 69 to best Cloninger by five, and win the tournament by that same number. Not only is it Simson's second straight win, but it's his third win at the Senior Hall-of-Fame in four years. Don Marsh took the top spot in the Super Senior Division. He shot a final-round 70 to secure a seven-shot victory over runner-up Rick Luzar and the field. The National Senior Hall of Fame is a 54-hole invitational started in honor of Dale Morey (a member at Willow Creek). The event typically draws one of the strongest senior fields of the year.
