SAVANNAH, Ga. (Oct. 18, 2014) — Finishing nine shots back at the Seaport Open at Crosswinds Golf Club was former Armstrong State golfer Jared Wagenaar, originally from South Africa.
Wagenaar, an amateur in a field of professionals, opened the event on Thursday with a 66 and was just one shot back of first-round leaders Patrick Newcomb and Sam Bedwell. He finished the event shooting 69-72, nine shots behind the winner Mark Silvers.
Silvers jumped into the lead after Friday's second round a tournament-low 62.
