San Francisco City Championship Open Flights Qualifying

The country's oldest city championship officially kicked off over the weekend, with 200 people playing an 18 hole qualifying round for Open Flight seeding

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2017) -- Lincoln Park was the site of the opening weekend of play in the San Francisco City Championship. Two hundred hearty golfers overcame wet conditions and posted a score, trying to get into one of the brackets for match play. Bill Kleinecke posted the lowest score, a 2-over 70 at the par-68 layout. Kleinecke, of Novato, is a 5-time champion at Marin Country Club and should prove a formidable opponent for the player that draws him in the first round of match play. You can view results at the link below. Full brackets will be posted on Monday.
