Sam Horsfield opens with red-hot 60 at Orlando City Amateur

ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 15, 2013) -- Sam Horsfield, a highly-touted junior, fired a 10-under 60 and leads the Orlando City Amateur after the first round. Horsfield, 16, is up by seven shots after his red-hot first-round effort entering the second of three rounds at Dubsdread Golf Course. Horsfield made a run earlier this year at the U.S. Junior Amateur before falling in the quarterfinals. He won the 2013 Florida State Amateur in dominating fashion, prevailing by 11 shots.
