BROOKVILLE, NY (July 8, 2011) -- Joseph Saladino of Huntington CC defeated medalist Clancy Waugh of Deepdale GC 2 & 1 in a very exciting 36-hole final match on Friday, July 8th at the Tam O’Shanter Club in Brookville to win the 2011 Long Island Amateur Championship. It was Saladino’s second win in this event; he also won at his home club in 2007.
