On road to U.S. Amateur, Stockton local Ryan Carter wins Stockton City

STOCKTON, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2010) -- Stockton local, Ryan Carter, won the Stockton City Championship played at Van Buskirk Golf Course and Swenson Park Golf Course. Carter won a sudden death playoff with fellow player Aaron Briones of Isleton. Both shot a seven under par 136. Next week Carter will compete in the 107th annual Northern California Golf Association Amateur Match Play Championship at Spyglass Hill as well as the U.S. Amateur later in the month. The Senior champion was Herb Jensen, a member at Woodbridge Country Club, with a 140. Krysta Clark, a player on the Fresno State women's golf team, was the ladies net champion with a two day total of 142.
