BONNER SPRINGS, Kansas (June 9, 2012) -- Lawrence's Conrad Roberts set the pace early in the first round of the 18th KGA Public Links at Sunflower Hills Golf Course. Roberts posted a 3-under par 69 in the first starting time of the day in round one.
Roberts leads by one shot over Lawrence's Kit Grove and Mike Holloway of Wichita. A host of others are lurking within a couple shots and will look to make the round two comeback.
Included in those are the 2012 Mid-Amateur champion Aaron Sheaks and Tracy Chamberlin, the reigning KGA Public Links champion. The 36-hole championship will wrap up on Sunday
