Robby Salomon looks for second win in a row at inaugural Bayonet Black Horse Amateur

Having just won the NCGA Stroke Play last week at Poppy Hills, the graduating CSU-Monterey Bay senior is tied for the lead

SEASIDE, Calif. — Robby Salomon and Brandon Wu are tied atop the 36-hole leaderboard at the inaugural Bayonet Black Horse Amateur Championship. Salomon, the recently graduated senior from CSU-Monterey Bay, is fresh off a victory at the NCGA Stroke Play Championship, which he won by five shots over Patrick Soli at Poppy Hills. Salomon opened with 70 and shot even-par 72 on Saturday. Wu, who will begin his collegiate career this fall as a member of the Stanford Cardinal, has a pair of 71s to his name. Soli, as well as Drew Bender, are a stroke behind in a tie for third place while first-round leader Seungiae Maeng struggled to a 78 after opening with 69 on Friday.
