Rick Woulfe hangs on to win Ralph Bogart Tournament

Rick Woulfe of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. narrowly hangs on to win his third tournament in the last two months

JUPITER, Fla. (Dec. 10, 2014) — It wasn't easy, but Rick Woulfe of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. posted a 75 on Wednesday to hang on and capture the Ralph Bogart Tournament — his third title in the last two months. Woulfe, who entered the final round with a four-shot lead over Peter Van Ingen, shot 75 on Wednesday at the Fazio Old Trail course at Jonathan's Landing and narrowly escaped with a one-shot win. In November, Woulfe took home titles at the Crane Cup Senior and the Society of Seniors Championship. Taking second place was Doug Pool of Las Vegas, Nev., who finished the 54-hole event at 217 (73-73-71). Murphy Mitchell of Scottsdale, Ariz. placed third at 219 and Duke Delcher (first-round leader) and Ron Carter rounding out the top five by tying for fourth place at 222. In the Super Senior division, Jim Smith of North Palm Beach, Fla. went wire-to-wire and won by a stroke despite shooting 79 on the final day. Gary Kirwan of McKinney, Texas took second while Pat Vincelli of Stuart, Fla. came in third.
