Richard Poe Invitational: Chad Niezing Cruises to 5-shot win

A pair of 68's gives Chad Niezing the victory at the Richard Poe Invitational hosted by the A. L. Gustin Golf Course.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (June 7, 2015) -- The Richard Poe Invitational is one of Missouri’s premier amateur golf tournaments. It is hosted by the A. L. Gustin Golf Course located on the University of Missouri campus. This weekend, Chad Niezing’s impressive 2-day total of 136 came from a pair of 68’s and was plenty enough to win the title by a 5-stroke margin. Niezing was able to hold off Tanner Elder who shot an impressive final round 67. Elder shared 2nd place at 141 with Jack Knoesel. In the Senior Division, David Teel won in a playoff after a final round 68 put him in a playoff with Steve Groom, who shot rounds of 69 and 70.
