SEEKONK, Mass. (Sept. 16, 2013) -- E.J. Wholey fired a 2-under 69 and leads by a shot after Round 1 at the 20th annual Rhode Island Mid-Amateur Championship at Ledgemont Country Club.
Wholey is one shot better than Sean Hardman, who is alone in second place thanks to a 1-under 70.
Chris O'Neill, Bobby Leopold, Steve Royer and Dave McNally are all tied for third after shooting 71 on Monday.
