Reilly McMahon conquered one of the toughest, if not the toughest, golf course in all of California for a sudden-death victory

LOMPOC, Calif. — Reilly McMahon conquered one of the toughest, if not the toughest, golf course in all of California for a sudden-death victory at the Santa Barbara County Championship on Sunday. Play the renowned La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, McMahon used rounds of 72-74 to get into a playoff through 36 holes where he eventually defeated former UCLA golfer Oliver Rheinfurth, who carded back-to-back 73s. First-round leader Ramie Sprinkling, who opened with a remarkable 1-under par 71, shot 79 on Sunday and fell back into a tie for fourth place with Brett Patton (74-76). The lowest round of the tournament went to College of the Canyons golfer Clayton Chatterly, whose 70 in the final round boosted him into a solid third place finish.
