LAKEWOOD, Calif. (August 31, 2014) — Marc Reyes turned a first-round co-lead into a seven-shot victory on Sunday at the Los Angeles County Men's Amateur Championship with his blistering round of 63.
Reyes, who was tied with Jeff Lewis of Long Beach after the first day at 67, broke the 36-hole tournament record with a two-day total of 130, winning the event by seven shots over Ramsey Sayhoun of Reseda.
Sayhoun shot rounds of 70 and 67 at Lakewood Golf Course and Los Verdes Golf Course to take solo second place.
Lewis shot 72 on Sunday, falling back into a tie for third place with Kevin Bodlovich of San Pedro.
