The Boilermakers made their mark on the par 3s and par 4s at the Club at Chatham Hills, playing the holes in even and 6-over par as a group, respectively. Cole Bradley and Joe Weiler combined to go 4 under on the front nine, which helped Purdue start making up ground. Both turned in rounds of 4-under 68 on Tuesday. Overall, Purdue was 18 under for the tournament, and two shots ahead of Northwestern.
"I am just really proud of the guys on their win and their performance the last two days. We played a great round on a really tough day," head coach Rob Bradley said. "Joe Weiler bounced back today and really set the tone as the first one out. Cole (Bradley) played really solid all week. This was a total team effort and everyone really showed what they are capable of. This is a springboard we need into our trip to Hawaii and then the offseason."
Marquette and Indiana were close to the top, too. Marquette was third at 15 under, three shots out of the lead, and Indiana was fourth at 12 under.
