Pool/Alexander take first round lead at SOS Masters

Indian Wells, Calif. (April 17, 2012) -- Doug Pool, Las Vegas, NV, has the lead after the first round of the SOS Masters at the Golf Resort at Indian Wells. Pool carded a 68 and leads Chris Maletis from Portland, Ore. and local boy Robert Pomerantz from Rancho Mirage by a stroke.

Larry Daniels, Seattle, WA and Ron Carter from Monticello, IN both shot 70 and stand in fourth place.

In the Super Senior division, Denny Alexander, Fort Worth TX posted 69 and leads Bob Howe, Larchhmont, NY, Herb Weber, Tucson, AZ, John Richart, La Quinta, CA and Walt Martin, Oakton, VA by a stroke
