Patin wins Louisiana Mid-Amateur in playoff

Blaine Patin ends Patrick Christovich's run of four straight Louisiana Mid-Amateur titles

-story courtesy of the Louisiana Golf Association CHOUDRANT, La. (August 3, 2014) —Blaine Patin of Greenwell Springs shot a one-over par 72 Sunday in the final round of the Louisiana Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championship. It was enough to get him into a playoff for the championship against Brandon Aydlett of Metaire who shot a one-under par 70 in Sunday’s final round at Squire Creek Country Club. Patin and Aydlett both finished at even par 213 for the championship. Patin and Aydlett battled for five playoff holes, and Patin won on the sixth playoff hole after he birdied the par 5 17th. This is the 23rd edition of the LGA Mid-Amateur Championship, and the six hole playoff certainly made it a memorable one. For more, please continue reading at lgagolf.org.
