Pano, who at 14 has already amassed a long list of junior golf accomplishments, now has an AJGA Invitational title until her belt. Pano was the youngest player to ever win an AJGA title at 12 years and 11 days at the PDQ/Philadelphia Runner Junior. She is a two-time Drive, Chip and Putt champion, in 2016 and 2017. Pano is also a two-time AJGA Wyndham Cup East team member.
To finish solo second, Stanford commit Lei (Angelina) Ye of Bradenton, Fla., shot rounds of 68-69–69–72 for a tournament total of 278. Ye is currently No. 21 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and is a three-time Rolex Junior All-American.
Finishing in solo third was Phoebe Brinker of Wilmington, Delaware, with a tournament total of 6-under-par 282. Brinker is a three-time AJGA champion who is verbally committed to Duke University.
Expect to see Pano again at next month’s Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, which she will play on a sponsor exemption.
