A final round of five under par 67 gave Babusik, 46, a tournament record 137 and the advantage over Mike Weeks, 45, also of Jupiter, who closed on 71-141 with three birdies and a double bogey. They had shared the first round lead at 70 with a third Jupiter golfer, Rod Armstrong. Armstrong earned low net honors with 140 on a gross score of 146.
Steve Anderson of Hobe Sound, the Bryant winner last year at Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Jupiter, was third at 143.
He had five birdies Sunday, at Nos. 6, 7, 8, 12 and 13, and one outstanding save. After hitting his second shot over the green and behind a trap at the par-4 fourth hole, Babusik flipped a flop shop back to within two feet and made the putt.
After thinking about it for a few moments, Babusik said the last time he won a tournament was likely during his mini-tour days in the Orlando area in the 1990s. He regained his amateur status in 1999 and was the U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifying medalist here two years ago with 70.
