Two-time defending champion Tom Brandes fired a second-round 2-under 70 to leap to the top of the leaderboard

POWELL BUTTE, Ore. (June 4, 2014) -- Two-time defending champion Tom Brandes fired a second-round 2-under 70 to leap to the top of the leaderboard at the 2014 Pacific Northwest Senior Championship. Brandes, who trailed first-round leader Jim Knoll heading into the day's play, kept pace with a surging Michael Kloenne for one of the best rounds of the day at Brasada Ranch. Kloenne fired a 4-under 68 to climb into a tie for second place alongside Knoll. Knoll, from Northern California, shot 73 on Wednesday. Carey Watson is fourth, shooting 72-71 while Harry Ferguson sits fifth.
