Oglethorpe Invitational: Shad Tuten takes lead

Tuten, who resides in Elberton, Ga., shot a second straight 65 and took the lead from Daniel Pizetoski, who followed his opening-round 64 with a 67 on Friday

SAVANNAH, Ga. (July 25, 2014) -- Armstrong's Shad Tuten seized the second-round lead at the 2014 Oglethorpe Invitational. Tuten, who resides in Elberton, Ga., shot a second straight 65 and took the lead from Daniel Pizetoski, who followed his opening-round 64 with a 67 on Friday. Dillon Woods of Jacksonville and Australian Kade McBride are tied for third while Alabama's Robby Prater and Victor Wiggins of North Carolina round out the Top 5 and sit just three shots off of the pace set by Tuten. The Oglethorpe Invitational is a 54-hole stroke-play tournament with a field that features a solid mix of collegiate players, rising juniors and established mid-amateurs.
