ROME, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2014) — Adam Condello held a slim one-shot lead over Jamie Miller with one round remaining at the New York Mid-Amateur. Miller shot two-under 68 on Sunday while Condello shot one-over 71, allowing Miller to surge ahead for a two-shot win.
Condello jumped into the lead on Saturday with a tournament-low 66. He finished alone in second place as the only other player other than Miller to have a 54-hole total under par.
Luke Hobika, who was only one back after day one with a 68, shot 70-73 on the weekend and finished in third place, six shots ahead of fourth place.
Michael Karger held a share of the first-round lead on Friday but shot back-to-back 77's on Saturday and Sunday to fall far behind. He finished in a tie for seventh, 15 shots back.
