Nelson comes back for a win at the Massachusetts Women's Amateur

Nelson wins a nail biter seesaw match at the Massachusetts Women's Amateur Championship at Weston Golf Club

WESTON, MA (Aug. 4, 2011) -- The day started poorly for Katie Nelson of Cyprian Keyes Golf Club. A bogey on the first hole put her 1 down and double on No. 5 set her back another hole against Tracy Martin in the finals of the Massachussetts Women's Amateur. Nelson staged a comeback on holes 7 and 8 to bring the match to all square but it was short lived as Martin reeled off four straight wins on holes 9-12 to go 4-up. The tide turned yet again as Nelson's putter got hot on the last 6 holes. Nelson won the three holes with a par and two birdies and two halved the 16th in pars to leave Martin till 1-up with two holes play. Nelson then birdied the par-3 17th to tie the match and parred the par-5 18th for the win.
