NCGA Associate Club: Downtown Golf Club wins by two

PEBBLE BEACH, CA (August 30, 2016) -- Downtown GC took care of business. Downtown GC shot a final round 14-under 128 Tuesday at par-71 Poppy Hills Golf Course, coming from three shots back to win the annual NCGA Associate Club Championship. The Downtown GC squad, made up of teammates John Broadhurst, Fernando Delmendo, James Lee and Ted Price, carded three eagles and 11 birdies to finish the two-day championship with a total of 31-under 255. Format takes the two best net scores out of the four players. UAL 32 Golf Club–Jorge Caballero, John Schmeider, Lyonel Aguilera and Lyndon Dofredo–who had grabbed the first round lead Monday at Spyglass Hill, fell back to a 9-under 133 to finish two strokes behind the winners at 257. The third place finishers were NAS GA at 260 after a 129.
