Mueller takes lead at New York Senior Amateur

A second-round 70 gives Tom Mueller a two-stroke advantage heading into Thursday's final round

CLAYVILLE, N.Y. (Sept. 17, 2014) — After trailing the opening-round leaders by three shots at the New York Senior Amateur, Tom Mueller shot two-under par 70 in the second round to move into the lead by two shots. First-round co-leaders Bill Paulsen and Kevin Webb, who opened the tournament with two-over par 74's, both fell back after the second round. Paulsen shot 75 and is tied for second place while Webb shot 79 and is tied for ninth. Mueller's round included three birdies and one bogey. Paulsen and Randy Young are two back of Mueller at five-over par through 36 holes.
