Moffatt wins Ventura County in playoff

Stephan Moffatt and Brandon Gama tied at 205 through 54 holes, but Moffatt won the playoff to take the 2013 Ventura County Championship

VENTURA, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2013) — First-round leader Stephan Moffatt, who shot 66 on Saturday, found himself in a two-man playoff on Labor Day with Brandon Gama. Moffatt came out victorious, winning the playoff to capture the 2013 Ventura County Men's Championship. Moffatt shot rounds of 66-71-68 while Gama made a charge on both Sunday and Monday, shooting 66 both days after firing a 73 on Saturday. Gama, who grew up in Santa Barbara and attended Chico State University, missed a par putt on the first playoff hole. Moffatt recently graduated from Royal High School in Simi Valley.
