MORTON, Minn. (June 13, 2012) -- David Kokesh of Bent Creek Golf Club bested Steve Whittaker of Pebble Creek Golf Club, 2-and-1 in the final match of the 2012 Minnesota Senior Players' Championship at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club.
Whittaker held a 2-up lead after six holes but three straight wins on holes No. 7, 8 and 9 put Kokesh back into contention.
His bogey on the Par-4 14th was better than Whittaker's double and that was the deciding hole in the match.
