ASPEN HILL, MD (Sept. 11, 2013) — One round is complete at the 2013 Maryland Senior Amateur, and it was Mike Occi jumping out to a one-stroke lead after day one, posting a 69.
Occi's one-under par 69 is the only score under par, making five birdies and four bogeys en route to his leading score.
In second place is Pat Tallent and Larry Storck, who both shot even-par 70s.
Nine players are within five shots of Occi with one round remaining at Manor Country Club.
