Michael Weaver wins Alameda Commuters

Weaver took the lead after the third round and never looked back, firing a final-round 66 to win by four shots

ALAMEDA, Calif. (April 29, 2012) -- Michael Weaver completed his spectacular run at the Alameda Commuters, firing a final-round 66. Weaver beat the loaded field by four shots. Weaver (69-67-65-66--267) gained the lead Saturday after a third-round 65 and distanced himself Sunday. Jonathan De Los Reyes (69-68-68-66---271) played well throughout the event and even fired a final-round 66 but it wasn't enough to catch Weaver. Anders Engell (67-67-73-67--274), who lead after last weekend's first two rounds finished in third place. Travis Taylor (71-69-67-68--275) and amateurgolf.com Player Staff Member Darryl Donovan (70-66-69-70--275) finished tied for fourth. The Senior division was won by Jeff Burda in a playoff against Scott Anderson.
