Megan Mingo cruises to South Dakota Women's Amateur title

With rounds of 73-74-72 Megan Mingo finished even-par and won the South Dakota Women's Amateur by nine-strokes

YANKTON, SD (August 14, 2016) -- With rounds of 73-74-72 Megan Mingo finished even-par and won the South Dakota Women's Amateur by nine-strokes. The South Dakota State senior took a one-stroke lead after the first round before cruising to a wire-to-wire victory. South Dakota State teammate and fellow senior Hallie Getz finished in second place with a 9-over tally. Another Jackrabbit finished strong as Sydney Bormann placed third. Bormann, an incoming freshman is coming off a decorated high school career that included four South Dakota State Class A State individual medalist awards. Katie Bartlett was fourth while South Dakota State sophomore Elle Carlson was fifth.
