Florida International University junior Meghan Maclaren wins Nicholls Trophy by one shot

CARMARTHENSHIRE, U.K. (August 22, 2014) — After 72 holes of intense British golf, Meghan Maclaren claimed victory at the Ladies British Stroke Play Championship on Friday. The field played 36 holes on the final day, and the Florida International University junior shot 139 on the day to capture the Nicholls Trophy by a single stroke. 2012 champion Sarah-Jane Boyd finished in second place after a closing 73, while the leader over the first 3 rounds, Olivia Winning, slumped to an afternoon 78 to finish tied third with Alexandra Peters and Chloe Williams.
