Lucy Li closes ANA Inspiration with Even-Par 72

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA (April 2, 2017) -- A great two weeks has come to a positive close for 14-year-old Lucy Li. After qualifying for the ANA Inspiration just one week ago by winning the ANA Junior Inspiration, Li closed her week at Mission Hills Country Club with an even-par 72 to finish 7-over. As the lone amateur to reach the weekend, Li was steady throughout her final round birdieing three-times and bogeying three-times. Li carded her first birdie on the 2nd hole while also penciling in circles on the 6th and 18th holes. The made cut for Li was the first of her career in a major after she missed the cut as an 11-year-old at the 2014 U.S. Women's Open. ROUND THREE RECAP Lucy Li was the only amateur to make the cut at the ANA Inspiration and in the third round she shot a 6-over 76. Li will head into the final round at Mission Hills Country Club 7-over and in 71st place. In the third round Li was unable to find a birdie as she bogeyed six-times.
