NEWTON, MA (August 5, 2010) – Pam Koung from Charles River Country Club was one down with three holes to play in the final match of the Massachusetts Women’s Amateur Championship with Joy Connelly of Cohasset Golf Club. When Connelly stumbled to a bogey on the 17th hole Kuong’s par would even the match with the par-5 18th hole left to play.
Koung would go on to birdie the 18th to Connelly’s par and Koung would claim the trophy.
In the Presidents flight Ann Sperandio of Lexington Golf Club birdied two of the last four hole to win her match with Elise Lemons of Cyprian Keys Golf Club 1-up.
