Kevin Marsh, John Pate win Southern California Four-Ball

Kevin Marsh and John Pate, both former SCGA champions, captured the 2014 Southern California Four-Ball by one stroke

SOMIS, Calif. Nov. 4, 2014) — Kevin Marsh and John Pate were locked up in a four-way tie at 67 after the first round at the Southern California Four-Ball Championship. On Tuesday, they strung together seven birdies and no bogeys to shoot 65 and edge second-place finishers Nathan Celusta and Mark Nickeas by a shot and claim the title. Celusta and Nickeas shot the lowest round of the tournament, a 64, on Tuesday in their attempt at a comeback, but with 69 on Monday, came up just a shot short. John Rudolph and Michael Feuerstein took third place, finishing three shots back. Rudolph and Feuerstein were another one of the four players tied at 67 after the first round, though they posted 68 on Monday.
