Kestly takes Wisconsin Governor's Cup

John Kestly birdies the final hole, winning the Wisconsin Governor's Cup by two

LAKE GENEVA, Wisc. (June 12, 2012) -- All John Kestly, Westmoor Country Club, needed on the 18th hole at the Geneva National Golf Club was a par and the Governor's Cup title would be his. Instead, he made birdie and claimed a two stroke victory over Alan Thompson, Watertown Country Club. Kestly carded rounds of 72-73--145 for the victory while Thompson signed for 75-72--147 and second place all alone. Kevin Cahill of Merrill Hills Country Club posted 76-74--150 for solo third. First round leader Jocko Reuth posted the low round of the tournament in round 1 with a 70, but a final round 82 totaled 152 and left him in a tie for fourth place with Mike Greb who carded 73-79--152.
