PALM CITY, Fla. (Nov. 14, 2014) — Round one of the fourth annual Crane Cup was completed on Friday at Floridian, where some of the top mid-amateur and senior amateurs are squaring off in a 54-hole stroke play event.
Three-under par 68 was shot by three players in the opening round. Canadian Dan Keogh, New York resident Jamie Miller, and Missourian Skip Berkmeyer are co-leaders by one stroke.
Tied for fourth place and trailing by one after 69's are Alan Coshatt and Brad Wilder while the sixth and final player under par was Derek Meinhart at 70.

Defending champion Colby Harwell shot 74 and is six back in a tie for 21st. Overall, 22 players are within six shots of the lead with 36 holes left.
In the senior division, Rick Woulfe, who is fresh off a win at the Society of Seniors Championship, leads with a 69 in front of five players one shot behind him.
Included in the group at one-under par 70 are David Anthony, Doug LaCrosse, George Zahringer, Grady Brame, Sr., and Pete Williams.
The senior leaderboard, like the mid-amateur one, has many players still very much in contention through the first 18 holes with 15 players within six shots of Woulfe.
