OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (August 20, 2009)--Dodge Kemmer of Wichita, KS pulled away from Sihwan Kim and David Chung to win the Scratch Players Championship at Quail Creek G&CC.
Kemmer led wire-to-wire after opening with rounds of 63 and 65 and cruising home with rounds of 69 and 67 for a 16-under-par total of 264. Kim and Chung finished four shots back at 12-under.
The Scratch Players Championship, which was not played in 2008, returned to the amateur schedule and once again drew a strong field, with many highly-ranked players preparing for the U.S. Amateur, to be played next week just up the road in Tulsa at Southern Hills.
