Jutanugarn earns low amateur at the Kraft

Ariya Jutanugarn is the only amateur to make the cut at the Kraft Nabisco and shows she's ready to play against the pros

RANCHO MIRAGE, Ca. (April 4, 2011) -- Fifteen year old phenom from Thailand, Ariya Jutanugarn outplayed the five other top ranked amateurs invited to play in the Kraft Nabisco this year. Her first two rounds of 74-73 put her three strokes ahead of missing the cut of plus six. This was not her first time playing with the pros. In February, Jutanugarn played in the Honda LPGA in her homeland of Thailand alongside many top pros including world number one Yani Tseng, Michelle Wie, Karrie Webb, Paula Creamer, Juli Inkster and many others. Not only did she make the cut but she finished tied for 8th. Jutanugarn continued her solid play at the Kraft shooting 71, 73 on the weekend. She finished tied for 25th place. As am amateur she passed up on winning $18,562 in the first LPGA major of the year. She will be one to watch for at the U.S. Women's Open and the U.S. Women's Amateur.
