SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2014) — Over the weekend at beautiful Sandpiper Golf Club in Santa Barbara, Calif., Jordan Scott and Jason Higton defended their title at the annual Sandpiper Invitational, a best-ball event that fielded 132 players this year.
Scott and Higton blistered the field on Saturday, shooting 63 to lead by three shots over Brandon Gama and Daniel Licursi. And with a 69 in the closing round, they extended their lead and successfully defended their crown by eight shots.
Taking second place were Matt Gogel and Tim Mahaffy at 140 (68-72) while Travis Olsen and Brian Woolf took third place at 141 (72-69).
Gama and Licursi struggled to a 76 in the final round and finished in fourth place, ten shots back of the winners.
