ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Former Central Missouri golfer Joe Migdal fired 67 on day two of the Missouri Stroke Play Championship at St. Joseph Country Club to lead by one entering the final round.
Trailing just a stroke behind him, after his second consecutive round of 67, is 2014 U.S. Mid-Amateur runner-up Brad Nurski — a St. Joseph native. Nurski, who lost to Scott Harvey in last year's 36-hole final at Saucon Valley, went bogey-free on Wednesday to grab the second place spot entering the final day.
Migdal, on the other hand, made three bogeys throughout his second round and used seven birdies to offset the mistakes. He birdied his first three holes of the day, starting on the back nine, before cooling off and going even-par his next nine holes.
Nurski's lead for second place is by four shots over Travis Mays and by six shots over Nick Arman.
