Jim Williams captures the San Francisco City Senior title

The five-time Bay Regional champ adds the City to his list of wins

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 11, 2012) -- In the final match of the senior division of the San Francisco City it was Jim Williams of Orinda who downed Steven Hakes of San Diego 1-up. A longtime member of amateurgolf.com, Williams is a member at San Fransisco Club, Orinda Country Club and Merion Golf Club. He has won the amateurgolf.com Bay Regional Championship senior title five times since 2006. Williams, the 10th seed, arrived at the finals after beating John Seed of Gualala, the 11th seed, 3 & 2 in the semifinals. Hakes made the finals after defeating Scott Anderson of Walnut Creek, 8th seed, in a 20 hole battle. In the super senior division, David Carroll battled Bruce Wold of Novato. Carroll won on the 19th hole.
