ORLANDO, FL (October 3, 2016) -- After day one of the Society of Seniors Founders Cup at Grand Cypress Golf Club Jim Starnes holds a one-stroke lead over Vance Antoniou.
Starnes posted a 70 to take the lead over Antoniou after he shot a 71. The first round leaderboard is a crowded one with a total of 14 players within six-strokes of the lead.
Three players are just two-strokes back in a tie for third after 72's. The group includes Donald Ragley, 2013 U.S. Senior Amateur winner Doug Hanzel and Timothy Sacheck.
In the Super Senior Division Gary Kirwan leads the way after a 70 of his own, while Jim de Leon and Wyatt Meyer are tied for second following 71's. Similar to the Senior Division the leaderboard is tight after 18-holes with 11 players inside of six-strokes of the lead.
