Hye-Jin Choi continues strong play at U.S. Women's Open

Albane Valenzuela and Hannah O'Sullivan have also completed third round play at CordeValle Golf Club

SAN MARTIN, CA (July 9, 2016) -- Hye-Jin Choi maintained her status as low amateur after putting together a third round 3-over 75 at the U.S. Women's Open. Choi began the day at CordeValle Golf Club 1-under and is now 2-over with 18-holes to go on Sunday. Beginning her third round on the 1st hole Choi, from South Korea, bogeyed the 2nd hole before converting her first birdie of the day on No. 4. Choi ended up with two birdies and three bogeys during her round. Unfortunately, Choi, tied for 32nd, slipped up on the 18th hole with a double-bogey. Albane Valenzuela, of Switzerland, is now 7-over for the week and tied for 58th following a third round 4-over 76. Valenzuela birdied the 9th and 16th holes during her third round. American Hannah O'Sullivan, in 72nd place, struggled during the third round and sits at 13-over. O'Sullivan did have a bright spot as she tallied a birdie on the 8th hole
