HOUSTON, Tex. (Oct. 13, 2013) -- Mike Booker of The Woodlands holed an 8-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to win the soggy 2013 Greater Houston Senior Men's City Amateur at Memorial Park Golf Course.
Booker, who held a 4-shot lead after rounds 1 and 2, shot 66-70-74 and Steve Moran shot 71-69-70 both finished at 6-under-par 210. It was the first Senior title for Booker, who lost a playoff last year.
Don Fanning shot 71-70-74—215 for a 6-shot victory in the Super Senior Division for golfers 65-and-over.
Final-round play was suspended for 1 hour, 50 minutes due to inclement weather Sunday morning.
