Wes Gates fired a red-hot final-round 63 to win by six shots at the 2013 Horton Smith Invitational at Detroit Golf Club.

DETROIT, Mich. (May 12, 2013) -- Wes Gates fired a red-hot final-round 63 to win by six shots at the 2013 Horton Smith Invitational at Detroit Golf Club. Gates shot rounds of 72-65-70-63 and was an easy winner over runner-up Michael Ignasiak, who shot rounds of 69-65-74-68. In third place was Sean Friel. The 72 hole stroke play championship named in honor of Horton Smith, the longtime Detroit GC pro and two-time Masters champion.
